Sue Dunkley: Work from the 1960s and 1970s ends this Saturday. The Leicester born artist’s unmissable solo show at Alison Jacques gallery brings together work from the 60s and 70s, many of which confront the roles and contemporary depictions of women within this cultural landscape. We framed a number of pastel works on paper for this exhibition which hang alongside large-scale works on canvas. Much of the work exhibited here was produced in Dunkley’s former house and studio in Liverpool Rd, a stone’s throw from Frame London and in which her children last year curated an exhibition of 50 years of her work.
